Things are finally falling into place for Saaho. But, it doesn’t come as a surprise as it was expected among the trade. The Rebel Star Prabhas starrer has been strutting around for a while throwing its weight. And it has got what it needs, a clear window to come out on a pan-India level with a holiday to boost.
The initial August 15th release meant that Saaho had a three-way clash in Bollywood. But, it had an advantage in other industries. It was a big decision to move it to August 30th when multiple films were planned across various languages.

In Hindi, there is another Shraddha Kapoor starrer Chhichhore slated to release on the same day as Saaho. In Telugu, we have Gang Leader, and in Tamil Kaappaan (along with Telugu dub Bandobast) for the same weekend. But, when Saaho locked this date, we knew some changes were in order, and that is precisely what has transpired.
Except for Gang Leader, which is yet to come with an official announcement, the Hindi (Chhichhore) and Tamil (Kaappaan) movie starring Suriya have been postponed. They will now arrive on September 6th and September 20th, respectively. Kaappaan’s postponement is not only a relief for Tamil version but also the Malayalam, as it had Mohan Lal too.

It is all up to the makers now to deliver a stunning theatrical trailer and make a killing as far as openings are concerned. The rest, however, would depend on the content and direction by Sujeeth.
