Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were shaken up by the constant heavy rainfall over the past few days. Many districts in both states were severely affected by the floods. There was a lot of crop and property damage as well.

Governments of both states have been conducting rescue operations across many areas and are providing relief to the flood-affected victims.

Meanwhile, Telugu Film Industry celebrities are also coming forward to do their bit to support flood victims in these tough times.

This morning, Jr NTR announced Rs. 50 lakh donation to the CM Relief Funds of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Announcing the news on social media, NTR wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the recent floods in the two Telugu states. I pray to God that the Telugu people recover from this calamity soon.”

“As a gesture of support, I am announcing a donation of Rs. 50 lakhs each to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. This contribution is to aid the relief efforts being undertaken by the governments of both Telugu states to address the flood disaster,” NTR added.

Actor Vishwak Sen announced a donation of Rs. 5 lakhs each to both states’ CM Relief Funds.

“In these devastating times of calamity, I am pledging a donation of ₹5 lakhs to the Andhra Pradesh (and Telangana) CM Relief Fund to support the flood relief efforts in the states. This contribution is a small step towards alleviating the suffering of those affected by the floods,” he wrote on X.




Yesterday, Vyjayanthi Movies, on behalf of producer Ashwini Dutt, announced a donation of Rs. 25 lakhs for the Andhra Pradesh CM Relief Fund. On the other side, producer Bunny Vaas announced that 25% of the total collections of his recent film Aay from Monday (September 2) till this weekend, will be donated to the CM Relief Fund of Andhra Pradesh.
