An ensemble cast of Anil Kapoor, Abhay Deol, Anushka Sharma and Tushhar Kapoor are in the process of being finalized for the lead cast in the Hindi remake of Malayalam film Shutter. The remake is being directed by southern filmmaker Alphonse Putharen, who had recently directed the sleeper hit Neram, which will soon be remade in Bollywood.
Alphonse says he has already approached the actor for the Hindi remake, but they are yet to confirm. The director recently left to Bombay to finalize his cast and even the title of the film. Shutter was a critically acclaimed film in Malayalam about the plight of Indian workers in the Gulf.
The director adds that as soon as he confirms his cast, he will start shooting for the film. Most part of the shooting will happen in the Gulf.
