It seems that the remake of Zanzeer has to go over another hurdle before it can look forward to its release. Indeed, almost a year after the issue was first brought up with the producers of Zanzeer, both the new as well as original writer pair Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar are now set to approach the Bombay High Court to resolve their issues.

The writers of the original 1973 film, Salim and Javed, have filed an application in their suit that seeks urgent relief in the form of stay on release of the new version. However, the twosome is not looking for any compensation; instead, the suit points out that the new version of the film cannot be made without their approval since they still hold the copyright of the ‘literary work.’
