The much-awaited SS Rajamouli event, Globetrotter, kicked off in Hyderabad on Saturday evening. Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, Rajamouli, and the entire crew of the film are present at the event happening at Ramoji Film City in the presence of thousands of fans.
The hosting is being handled by Telugu anchor Suma and North Indian YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani.
However, Ashish Chanchlani’s hosting is not matching the scale of the event. He looks nervous and the spark is missing. His chemistry with Suma is not landing and he feels out of place on a stage of this size. He lacks the energy needed to carry an event like this. The team has made a big mistake by engaging someone as inexperienced as him. It is not his fault but the team’s.
Honestly, the organizers should have gone for someone more seasoned and naturally witty. A host like Kapil Sharma or Sunil Grover could have handled an event of this magnitude without getting overwhelmed. This is exactly why such massive events need experience and not follower count.
Meanwhile, Suma is carrying the entire show on her shoulders, as she always does. She is the only one keeping things moving, but even her hosting feels flat and her style is now as old as the hills.
It has been more than an hour now and the event has remained dull and slow. The only thing that can lift the mood at this point is the film’s glimpse or whatever big reveal the team has planned. Until then, the atmosphere continues to feel lagging and uninteresting.
Fans watching the event live on JioHotstar are also frustrated by the constant ads and sponsor segments that interrupt the flow. The excitement is building, but the event execution has not lived up to expectations so far.
