Anyone who has followed the audio launch of Baahubali at Tirupathi will know that most part of the function was centered on the delay in the release of the film and when would it hit the cinemas. Even spoofs on the same issue were telecasted. One would therefore naturally assume that this is the single most important thing on the minds of entire cast and crew or majorly the director who was the one that got all the stick.

And yet despite all that happening, it was the release date that slipped through the director and hero Prabhas’s mind. They spoke at length and talked about various issues but they never once got to the release date. In the end, almost like an afterthought, director SS Rajamouli in a moment of haste and hurriedness asked Prabhas to announce the date which the actor promptly revealed as July 10.
So can we trust this to be the actual release date? The way the director and actor let this out to the public brings a bit of skepticism for sure. Also there was no new trailer and it’s expected to be out sometime in near future. Does this mean that the makers are still not ready with the final content and the work is still on? Was the announcement of July 10, a tactical business minded decision?
There are many such doubts and the answer could be known only as we get to first week of July. Rest assured there will be lots of twists and turns in the days coming up with respect to release date as the film faces a big clash both in North and South. For now though 10th July it is.
