Pre-release and audio launch events have been a way for South film stars to promote their films and connect with their fans for a long time. Notable speeches, like Rajinikanth’s at the Jailer audio launch and Vijay’s at various such events, have gone viral among fans.
Now, even Bollywood’s Shah Rukh Khan is adopting this trend from the South Indian film industry. Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan is planning a grand pre-release event for his film “Jawan,” but it’s not going to be in Mumbai – it’s going to be in Chennai.
Shah Rukh Khan announced on Twitter that he is coming to Sai Ram Engineering College, Chennai, on Wednesday for the Jawan event.
Surprisingly, Nayanthara, who usually avoids such events, is expected to make an exception and attend this event for Shah Rukh Khan. Anirudh Ravichander, the music composer of Jawan will also be present alongside Vijay Sethupathi, director Atlee, and other members of the film’s cast.
A few years ago, Bollywood ridiculed the way the South film industry promoted their films. But now the biggest of Bollywood stars are following the trend created by the South industry. Shah Rukh Khan, who is called the genius of marketing, has now adapted to the South style of promoting films.
Just like South Indian biggies, Jawan’s trailer is going to be launched just a week before the release, and a huge event has been planned in Chennai with a live audience to promote the film.
