Being a superstar isn’t easy, especially in the south. Fans worship them as demigods, and they are always under pressure to live up to their expectations. They are also expected to satisfy their fans not just with films but also with some compromises in their personal life.
After getting married, a superstar is expected to give birth to an offspring (mostly a male child) as soon as possible so that his fans can see their future idol in that kid. But Ram Charan took a route that was not only brave but also sensible.
Recently Charan’s wife, Upasana Kamineni, said that she is glad that she and her husband decided to have a baby when they were completely ready. They didn’t succumb to any societal pressure to become parents. The couple got married in 2012, but they waited for ten years before they had their first child.
Upasana said she was excited to become a mother and feels proud that the decision was not dictated by anyone else; it was her own. She said the couple finally decided to have a child as they were booming and were financially secure to start a family.
It is really commendable that Ram Charan and his wife gave enough time for their relationship to get stronger before having a child. Chiranjeevi and the entire family must also be appreciated for standing strong in support of their daughter-in-law’s decision, despite facing pressure from fans and trolling from anti-fans.
