It just so happened to be that the promotional material from Ram Charan’s Peddi came in close proximity with that of NTR’s Dragon. But unlike the usual case of the possible clash between Tarak and Charan from fans front, it’s Buchi Babu vs Prashanth Neel now.
There is a full blown social media war happening surrounding the prospects of Neel and Buchi Babu as people are assessing the qualities of these two filmmakers.
In terms of sample size, there isn’t much to be compared here as Buchi is just one film old while Neel has a decent sized library behind him. The commercial success metre is also heavily in favour of Neel as films like KGF, KGF 2 and Salaar built him a strong legacy.
Now a section of people are arguing that Buchi did a better job in showcasing Charan well in Peddi trailer and calling him a more rooted filmmaker.
Parallelly, Neel has his own supporter group on Twitter as a large section says he is a far superior filmmaker with a vastly enhanced cinematic vision and skill to project big projects on big screens. Even in terms of intelligence and intellectual capacity, he’s miles ahead of Buchi.
Strangely enough, the social media war that’s brewing has turned from the earlier expected NTR vs Charan to Neel vs Buchi. But at the end of the day, there’s no direct comparison between the two of them as they have extremely contrasting styles and views.
