Jailer turned out to be the biggest surprise at the box office. Rajinikanth made a kickass comeback after almost a decade of flops and average films. He proved that even with a mid film like Jailer he is ahead of Thalas and Thalapathys even today.
Now all eyes are on what he is going to do next. He has a film, Lal Salaam, directed by his daughter Aishwarya. The initial reactions to his look have been negative and fans are happy that he plays a cameo and not a full-fledged role in the film as Moideen Bhai.
Rajinikanth’s next film as a hero would be widely anticipated after the success of Jailer. He needs to keep the momentum and deliver another big success, unlike Chiranjeevi who faltered big time after Waltai Veerayya with Bholaa Shankar.
Rajini fans want him to team up with young directors like Lokesh Kanagaraj or Atlee who have the vision to project him as the invincible superhero. They don’t want him to do projects with outdated directors like KS Ravi Kumar or P Vasu again.
