Deepika Pudukone makes it back to the headlines with the official signing of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s much-anticipated Spirit with Prabhas just a week after her announcement of joining Sharukh Khan in Siddharth Anand’s King.
After initially refusing the offer, as the film’s schedule set by the end of 2024 didn’t align with her pregnancy, things took a change.
Deepika agreed to get on board as Vanga went back to her after a delay in schedule and revising the shooting timeline.
Himesh Makand writes on Pinkvilla, sources suggest, “It’s the most well-written female part in the world of Sandeep Reddy Vanga.” Making it a part Deepika couldn’t refuse.
The audience is excited to see what Vanga will bring to the screen with a pan-India star like Prabhas and now Deepika after his previously controversial “Animal.”
Deepika and Prabhas were last seen together in KALKI 2898AD, which didn’t garner them much of a positive response as an on-screen couple.
This poses the question: Can Vanga bring out the chemistry in Spirit that was missing in KALKI 2898AD?
Apart from Spirit and King, Deepika is also set to star in Kalki 2 and Pathaan 2. Making this one of the highest peaks of her career, and what she delivers next will surely affect many more to come.
