Ranbir Kapoor’s latest film “Animal” garnered attention when it received an adult rating (18) from the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC).
The BBFC’s detailed breakdown revealed themes of intense violence, including instances of domestic and sexual abuse, providing a glimpse into the dark narrative and unveiling some spoilers.
Interestingly, now the BBFC has also given a similar 18 rating to Salaar. Both films share a common ground with 5 stars for violence and injury detail and 4 stars for sexual violence.
The BBFC’s synopsis for “Salaar” describes it as an action drama where a man must abandon his peaceful life to help a friend confront criminal gangs, featuring intense and sometimes brutal fight scenes with significant bloodshed.
If the drama is hard-hitting and emotions are strong then such scenes will have a mindblowing impact on the audience, but if the screenplay isn’t engaging such scenes will only leave the audience with disgust.
The recently released Sooreede song from Salaar gives an indication that the film will be high on emotions. So if the emotions work out then such brutal violent scenes will heighten the impact. Now it all depends on director Prashanth Neel.
