Singer Mangli who is popular for her folk songs, was booked by Chevella police after a late night raid during her birthday bash at Tripura Resort in Chevella. Several violations were found by police including use of drugs, lack of permissions and illegal use of sound systems.
According to local police, the raid was carried out following a tip-off. One Damodar was caught consuming ganja at the venue. The police are now probing the extent of substance abuse at the event.

Police booked a case on Mangli for not taking police permissions for the party and serving liquor without a go ahead from excise officials. Case was booked against general manager of Tripura Resorts for allowing the event to happen without permission.
The police also seized DJ equipment for not having sound permission license. Celebrities Divi and lyricist Kasarla Shyam were present at the event among others. Police are likely to issue notices to those who attended the party as a part of investigation.
