Simrat Kaur, making waves since her Bollywood debut in Gadar 2, has grabbed a special role in the Prabhas starrer Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire.
This is a shift for Kaur, who initially entered the scene with supporting roles in Telugu cinema, notably Prematho Mee Karthik and the provocative thriller Dirty Hari.
Controversy stirred during the release of Gadar 2 when her semi-naked passionate love-making scenes from Dirty Hari circulated on social media, sparking criticism of her being a part of a nationalistic film like Gadar 2. To avoid any further controversy, Gadar 2 makers strategically kept her away from promotional activities.
Now, Simrat surprised everyone by grabbing a special song in a much-anticipated film like Salaar. The song is being shot in Hyderabad’s Ramoji Rao Film City. The film, set to release on December 22, plans a grand trailer drop event on December 1.
The inclusion of Simrat Kaur in Salaar’s song shoot was kept under wraps until recently, adding an unexpected twist to the film’s buzz.
