Kanche was without any doubt a critics’ darling last year. Everyone unanimously gave it thumbs up which prompted actor Varun Tej and director Krish to unite again for a new film Rayabari. But has the film been put on hold now and is Balakrishna the reason for it?

As far as first part of the question goes, yes the film has been officially put on hold. Technical reasons are cited for it but if one gets further into the issue at hand one will discover Nandamuri Balakrishna connection to it. Apparently the actor has liked a story narrated by Krish and he is considering it for his prestigious 100th film.
If the senior is okay with the developed script by Krish, he will go ahead with it. Meanwhile Varun will do a commercial film in between. If it’s not, the technical issues for Rayabari will be sorted out while Varun completes his commercial venture.
