For 1st Time, Music Director More Than Hero!

Anirudh Ravichander drives DC movie buzz

South Indian cinema is heavily dominated by the main leads who are primarily male heroes. We also occasional to see female oriented films working at the counters, but they are few and far between.

But now we have the case of a film that is almost entirely dependent on the music director than the actual lead cast associated with the same.

The film and discussion here is a Tamil love drama titled DC, which has Director Lokesh Kanagaraj and Hindi actress Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead roles.

This film is preparing for its release on August 6, and the promotions have almost entirely be dependent on music director Anirudh Ravichander. He is the one who is carrying the film on his shoulders.

He has dropped absolute musical bankers in the audio album, including the musician bits from the original soundtrack. This is possibly one of his best works in recent times.

But the problem has been with the fact that these are more classical works than the usual populistic style of Anirudh, which is resulting in reduced reach on social media. But nevertheless, the musical work is pure work of art.

This is one of the first time that a music Director is carrying more aura and appeal than the actual hero of the film who conventionally happens to be a director himself.
