Devara 100 Cr NTR Pan-India

Prabhas stands in a league of his own, with a pan-India stardom that sets him apart from his Tier 1 Telugu counterparts.

The competition to match his level is fierce, especially with three major pan-India Telugu films slated for release soon.

First of them is NTR’s Devara which is set to hit screens on September 27. It is a crucial test for him to solidify his status as a pan-India star.

Following the success of RRR, NTR needs to prove his appeal beyond the Telugu market, especially in Hindi-speaking regions.

A 100-crore worldwide opening is seen as the benchmark for pan-India stars currently, a milestone Prabhas has achieved multiple times with Baahubali 2, Saaho, Adipurush, Salaar, and Kalki.

SRK has reached this milestone twice with Pathaan and Jawan, while Vijay has done so with Leo and The GOAT. Yash’s KGF 2 and Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal have also made their mark.

NTR’s challenge with Devara is to replicate this success on his own, as RRR’s success was partly due to SS Rajamouli’s brand.

For NTR, a 100-crore opening with Devara is crucial to validate his pan-India appeal.

If Devara’s trailer impresses and the word of mouth from early screenings is positive, the film could potentially even touch 125 crores worldwide gross on its opening day.

If NTR achieves a 100-crore opening with Devara, it would mark a major achievement. He could become only the second Tollywood hero after Prabhas to reach this milestone with a solo film.

However, if the trailer fails to impress, it could undermine the hype and negatively affect the film’s performance, especially on its first day.
