Blockbuster And Disaster, But Hero Forgotten?

Yash Telugu Market After Toxic Failure

Kannada star Yash achieved something in the Telugu market that not many of his Kannada counterparts could achieve in the past. He gained significant prominence for himself with the KGF franchise and had built a solid market for himself.

Despite the lack of anticipation, it was pleasantly surprising to see Yash post pretty decent numbers in Telugu on the opening day with his Toxic. This pretty much confirmed that he had gained a market for himself after KGF.

But the sad part for Yash is that Toxic turned out to be a mega disaster and whatever credibility that he had gained with KGF would have evaporated by now.

And now we have returned to the natural position where Yash is unable to generate any kind of social media traction again.

Generally, when a hero delivers a once in a career blockbuster like KGF, he is expected to materialize films quickly and make hay with the same. But the exact opposite is happening in the case of Yash as he is very relaxed with his pacing. He took a solid four years after KGF 2 to make Toxic in 2026 and he now has Ramayan which is a multi starrer.

The extreme delay in the finalisation of new projects and the failure of the recent Toxic have resulted in Yash losing out on most of the steam.

At this point, there is not even a discussion happening about his next project as people appear to have completely lost interest in this matter. This is not what he would have expected after the tremendous KGF success.
