The much-anticipated film ‘Kushi‘ trailer featuring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda was released yesterday. The response has been unanimously positive from all quarters.
Kushi follows Vijay and Samantha’s love story amidst Kashmir’s beauty. Family interference tests their love, but they marry to challenge norms. The trailer questions if love can endure.
There are some talks on social media that the film tries to draw parallels to Roja initially and transitions to a setting reminiscent of Bombay, featuring an inter-faith love story. Eventually, the narrative evolves into a contemporary take on relationships seen in Sakhi.
Director Shiva Nirvana seems to be paying homage to Mani Ratnam. The film also has shades of Nani’s underrated Ante Sundaranki.
Despite all the similarities, the trailer still looks fresh due to Vijay and Samantha’s beautiful chemistry and enchanting songs and music.
A section of the audience also feels that the makers have revealed too much in the trailer, essentially outlining the entire story arc. Let’s hope Shiva Nirvana has some exciting surprises that aren’t revealed in the trailer.
