Director Defends Thaman’s Copied Music!

Director Mohana Krishna Indraganti - ThamanMost of the top music directors of the Telugu Film Industry couldn’t get away from the allegations of copying the music from other films, be it from Hollywood or movies from other languages. Thaman was no exception.

Currently, his background music score for Nani’s V’ is under fire for having similar shades of Tamil film ‘Ratsasan’. Talking about this plagiarism, director Mohan Krishna Indraganti outrightly defended Thaman and the background score he delivered.

The director explained that the style might look similar but not the tunes. According to him, the BGM of ‘V’ isn’t a copy and he justifies saying that he knows music and was trained in that. Audiences may not be trained in music, but they can at least judge the similarity in the style. Right?

By the way, Amit Tridevi scored the music album while Thaman delivered the BGM. Both of them didn’t receive special adulation or attention from music lovers. The songs of the album didn’t register among the common folks.
