The theatrical trailer of the new film of Karthi, Donga, is out. The movie has a unique specialty as it brings together, Karthi and Jyothika for the first time on the big screen.
The teaser gave an idea as to what one can expect from Donga. The trailer further reveals all the details. A hero with an ‘illegal’ profession returns to a village after many years. The family welcomes him without checking his real background. Slowly, the hero solves the issues related to the people around him. At the same time, officials are after him due to his past. Does the story ring bell? Well, it is Athadu starring Mahesh Babu.
The basic plot of Donga is, therefore, a familiar one. There was Varasudochadu before Athadu. We also recently had a critically acclaimed web- series, Sneaky Pete, with a similar premise. Donga is modified according to the nativity. It is now all up to director Jeethu Joseph to make an engaging thrilling outing out of it.

It also helps that Karthi’s last outing Khaidi was a success. The thriller with family drama and action will hit cinemas on the very crowded December 20th in Tamil and Telugu.
