Dragon Glimpse: Four Minutes Of Pure Scale

Jr Ntr Dragon Glimpse

Finally, the much-hyped NTR and Prashanth Neel’s #Dragon glimpse is out, and it runs for over four minutes. The first impression: it lives up to the expectations.

The scale looks massive. The world-building and character introductions carry the grandness one expects from a Prashanth Neel film.

What works even more is the intriguing way the backdrop and story are hinted at without revealing too much. The plot already screams a massive larger-than-life film, with the opium trade backdrop hinting at geopolitical tensions around Myanmar and Afghanistan, fueling conflict and chaos.

NTR’s lean makeover is presented very effectively, bringing a fresh dimension to his screen presence. The name “Luger” also comes as a surprising and offbeat choice for a Telugu hero’s character. In his earlier films, Prashanth Neel named Yash as Rocky in KGF and Prabhas as Deva in Salaar. But here, he goes completely out of the box with “Luger.”

As expected, Ravi Basrur’s background score perfectly complements the visuals, while Bhuvan Gowda’s cinematography delivers the signature Prashanth Neel terrain in all its raw intensity.

If there is one minor downside, it is that the visual texture and overall treatment feel familiar to the worlds of KGF and Salaar. Beyond that, the Dragon glimpse successfully sets the momentum for what looks like another larger-than-life cinematic spectacle.

#Dragon arrives on June 11, 2027.
