Pradeep Ranganathan’s last film, Love Today, which he both directed and acted in, was a blockbuster success. Made on a budget of just ₹5 crore, Love Today grossed around ₹100 crore worldwide.

Following its success, Dragon marks Pradeep Ranganathan’s second film as an actor, directed by Oh My Kadavule fame Ashwath Marimuthu.
Many social media users have shared positive reactions to the Dragon trailer, with some commenting that the film looks promising and has the potential to be another ₹100 crore hit for Pradeep Ranganathan.

On the other hand, some have criticized Dragon for resembling Sivakarthikeyan’s Don, as the trailer depicts the rise of a backbencher college student who becomes successful—similar to Don’s storyline.
Nevertheless, Dragon appears to be another commercial entertainer from Pradeep Ranganathan under Ashwath Marimuthu’s direction. Let’s see if it turns out to be a blockbuster success on February 21.
