This Diwali weekend, several films hit the box office, including Dude, Mitra Mandali, Telusu Kada, and K Ramp (released today).
Let’s take a look at how these films performed in terms of box office collections.
Dude turned out to be the biggest opener of the weekend. It also marks the highest opening in Pradeep Ranganathan’s career. As per reports, the film collected around ₹17–18 crore gross worldwide on its opening day. This makes it the best-ever opening day total for Pradeep so far.
Out of this, nearly ₹12 crore came from the domestic market, while the remaining revenue came from overseas. The Tamil version contributed the most, while the Telugu version added a decent share.
Meanwhile, Siddhu’s Telusu Kada opened on a slow note. There is still no confirmed collection report, and we may need to wait for official updates from the makers.
At the United States box office, none of the Diwali releases could create strong momentum. Dude collected $129K, Telusu Kada managed $72K, and Mitra Mandali earned $6K. These are weak numbers considering the festive season.
The final outcome will depend on how these films perform over the weekend. Sustained collections will be crucial to determine their overall success.
However, early trends on BookMyShow for the second day indicate limited audience interest. There are very few fast-filling shows, suggesting a lukewarm response for now.
