There is no debating the fact that a cinema is a liberation of an expression, and it is bound to be good or bad based on the sensibility of the director and the story. But there are certain films that cross the social line and deliver vulgar experience to the audience.
If we have to discuss one such film in the recent past, it would certainly be Dude, which has Tamil actor Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead role.
This film has a highly debatable plot with regard to social acceptance as it deals with a marital situation that’s beyond repair. Film was able to become a success at the ticket counters, but it certainly spooked a big section of audience.
Now the director of the film Keerthiswaran has commented that he has the idea for the sequel and will narrate it to Pradeep very soon.
If this collaboration daily does happen, then it would be a deeper dive into the earlier vulgar set up that was initiated by the first part. But considering the current status of several relationships these days, things might actually work out for this film at least of relatability as strange as it may sound.
But for now, we have to patiently wait and see if this project would actually happen in the first place as it would take a lot of guts for hero Pradeep to touch this point again.
