Film Like Rao Bahadur Wasn’t Made In India Before: Sukumar

As the release date draws closer, Satya Dev’s Rao Bahadur is receiving overwhelming appreciation from some of the biggest names in the film industry. Following Superstar Mahesh Babu’s encouraging feedback, director Sukumar has now added his voice to the growing chorus of praise after watching a special screening of the film.

Sukumar was deeply impressed by the uniqueness of Rao Bahadur. Beginning with Satya Dev, Sukumar said, “It’s as if everyone has gifted this role to Satya Dev. No artist gets such an opportunity. Every actor would be jealous of this role.”

He also hailed the film’s originality, saying, “A film like this has never been made in Telugu cinema or even Indian cinema before. It’s a completely different genre.” Reflecting on director Venkatesh Maha’s eight-year journey, Sukumar added, “After eight years, Venkatesh Maha has finally brought his vision to life. Just as C/O Kancharapalem created a sensation, he has accomplished something truly remarkable with Rao Bahadur.”

The director was especially impressed by the technical departments. “The world-building is incredible. The costumes are beautiful. Every technician is immensely talented. Every craft is on another level. Venkatesh assembled a fantastic team. Watching Rao Bahadur feels like spending time with friends.”

He also had warm words for producer Anurag Reddy. “I don’t know how he understood Venkatesh’s vision so well. Frankly, Venkatesh is lucky to have Anurag. His support is invaluable. Producing a film like this isn’t just about taste, one needs genuinely love cinema.”

Sukumar’s enthusiastic endorsement has added significant buzz around Rao Bahadur, with his words reinforcing expectations that the film will offer audiences a truly one-of-a-kind theatrical experience.
