In the last week of November, three diverse films are set to compete for attention at the box office.
First up is “Aadikeshava,” a mass action potboiler starring Panja Vaisshnav Tej and Sreeleela. Produced by Sithara Entertainments and directed by Srikanth N Reddy, this movie is crucial for Vaisshnav, who’s looking to bounce back from a series of flops.
Sreeleela also needs to consolidate herself as a maninstream commercial heroine with this film. Talented actor Joju George is playing the villain.
Next on the list is “Kotabommali PS,” a cop-action thriller directed by Teja Marni. Starring Srikanth, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Shivani Rajasekhar, this movie is a remake of the Malayalam hit Nayattu.
The storyline follows a cop entangled in a political framing for a crime he didn’t commit. The film holds anticipation, with GA2 Pictures hoping for a significant hit after a long dry spell.
Lastly, there’s “Dhruva Nakshatram,” directed by Gautam Menon and featuring Chiyaan Vikram. Despite facing numerous delays, the film is grappling with release hurdles just two days before its supposed release.
Financial issues and delayed bookings in India add uncertainty to the release, while some centers in the US have opened bookings, possibly leading to late premieres. The question lingers: Will “Dhruva Nakshatram” finally make its way to the screens, bringing an end to its long journey?
