The makers of Rana’s recent release ‘Ghazi‘ chose to title the movie after the name of the Pakistani submarine PNS Ghazi that sank in the waters of Bay of Bengal near Visakhapatnam, Eastern coast. For those who watched the movie, the interiors and the working of the submarine had caused great curiosity.

Because of this impact, the Kursura Submarine Museum is getting a lot of attention. Here, the submarine INS Kursura decommissioned on 27th September 2001, is open for visitors. This submarine was gifted by the Indian Navy to Andhra Pradesh in 2001 and from 2002 onwards Kursura is open.
One can visit this museum to get a first-hand knowledge of how a submarine works underwater even in adverse conditions of war and how the crew can stay alive for days with minimum amenities at their disposal. In your next Vizag trip, make it a point to visit Kursura Submarine Museum. Isn’t that a good idea?
