Guru, as we all know, is a remake of Bollywood and Kollywood bilingual Saala Khadoos starring Madhavan. Music for the film was composed by Santosh Narayan before he became famous with Kabali. It was widely acclaimed and loved by music lovers. For the Telugu version, the music director has retained songs from the original. Jingidi is the only new composition.
Well, we have to say despite the retention of the songs, the album delivers. It has a very fresh feel when listening in Telugu. Almost all the songs are situational but at the same time have tremendous repeat value. The album is an instant winner, naturally, among the movie lovers. Let us see if this sports flick too can find similar acceptance.
