There is a reason if people call RGV a maverick person. His thoughts are highly philosophical and have deep inner sight if taken in the right way. Otherwise, they seem to be controversial. Coming to his opinion on celebrating birthdays, RGV questions why anyone should celebrate his/her birthday when one’s birthday is nothing special except for being born as a part of a sexual union of two individuals.

Once, a couple of days before his wife’s birthday, when RGV was getting ready to go to Chennai for a grand event of his film ‘Kshana Kshanam’, his wife asked him to stay back for her upcoming birthday. She even asked if his film was more important than her birthday. For RGV, birthdays are like celebrations for a person who had no accomplishments to celebrate.
So, he shocked his wife by choosing to attend the film’s event instead of staying back for her birthday. People who had accomplished a lot like Amitabh Bachchan don’t give a damn to celebrate birthdays because they know the frailty behind birthday celebrations. Just being born doesn’t give us a reason to celebrate one’s birthday. This is our RGV who never likes to celebrate his birthday nor convey birthday wishes to others.
