Bollywood has often gone looking South when it comes to inspiration for new films. The latest in this regard in Akshay Kumar who has finally revealed that he is in talks about the remake of Tamil blockbuster Kaththi.

The original Tamil action drama film was directed by notable director A R Murugadoss, and starred actor Vijay in a dual role along with Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Neil Nitin Mukesh among others. As for the Hindi remake, earlier Akshay was on the fence about appearing in this film, but in an interview when he was asked if he was part of the film, he said “I think so.”
As for when the film begins shooting, Akshay said that they are still deciding on that. Aside from this, Akshay is also appearing in the film “Rustom”, produced by filmmaker Neeraj Pandey. It is known that Chiranjeevi chose Kaththi as come back vehicle will go to sets this year in VV Vinayak’s direction.
