Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s Irumudi is set for a theatrical release on August 21st. The film’s trailer launch was was organized on a big scale in Bhimavaram, with Depty Speaker Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju attending as the chief guest.
Director Shiva Nirvana made it clear that audiences have seen only a small glimpse of what the film has in store. “There is ten times more in the film than what you see in the trailer,” he said.
He explained that the title Irumudi represents three different layers woven into the narrative. One is the emotional bond and complications between a father and daughter, another is the Irumudi associated with an Ayyappa devotee, and the third is the crime mystery that forms a crucial part of the story.
The director also clarified that the film has nothing to do with the assumptions that emerged after its announcement. It is not a conventional devotional film, is not centred on a Sabarimala pilgrimage, and is not a remake. Instead, Shiva promised a film that combines family emotions with a raw and intense narrative.
“The real surprise lies in the way the film delivers such high intensity within a family drama. While the setting and characters may have a rustic feel, the emotional impact is expected to be much stronger than audiences anticipate. Irumudi is not just a film, it’s an emotion.”
For Ravi Teja, the Bhimavaram event was also a trip down memory lane. The actor revealed that he shares a deep bond with the town, where his grandparents once lived. He also expressed confidence that the movie will turn out to be a big hit.
