Due to criticism, Zomato, the food delivery app, changed the name of its ‘pure veg mode’ to ‘veg only’. They also introduced a green fleet. They started a new service only for vegetarian customers, called “Pure Veg mode,” to cater to their needs.
Popular Jabardasth anchor Rashmi Gautam joined the debate and tweeted about it. She questioned why a fleet of vegetarian delivery drivers wearing green shirts would upset anyone.
She also compared it to the acceptance of Halal-certified food and wondered why a purely vegetarian service couldn’t be accepted too.
Rashmi Gautam further questioned the prevalence of Halal certification on various products, even though not everyone consumes Halal meat. She argued for transparency in food choices based on ingredients rather than religious sentiments.
She defended her stance, asserting her Hindu identity and advocating for Hindu principles. When accused of stirring religious tensions, she proudly declared herself a Sanghi Pro Max.
When someone asked if she was doing this for attention, she replied, “I can get attention by posting just one pic and you all will zoom it and drool over it. I don’t have to talk about social issues for attention.”
Rashmi Gautam seems to be enjoying her free time trolling and getting trolled on social media.
