The fourth single, titled Bindass from Rajinikanth‘s most anticipated sequel Jailer 2, composed by Anirudh Ravichander, was released recently and is going viral on social media with mixed reviews from the audience.
Since Anirudh’s powerful compositions were a major reason for the massive success of the original Jailer and he has always delivered his best for Rajinikanth, many people expected a solid album from him for Jailer 2.
However, surprisingly, so far all four singles released from Jailer 2, including the recently released Bindass, have ended up as disappointments.
Many listeners, after hearing the track, are suggesting that Bindass offers nothing new and feels like a mediocre item number. Furthermore, they feel that Anirudh should try working with better lyricists instead of Super Subbu, as they feel the lyrics in the song are very poor.
Meanwhile, even though the track is receiving mixed responses, the music video featuring Nora Fatehi is receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from viewers, with many commenting that it looks grand with colourful visuals and stunning dance moves of Nora Fatehi.
Despite the underwhelming reception of the first three singles, many believed that Anirudh Ravichander would prove his potential with the upcoming singles; however, he has disappointed them and also seems to be struggling to fulfill the expectations.
At the same time, many people are severely criticizing Sun Pictures for their poor promotional strategies. They note that Sun Pictures should have released the singles with a proper gap between each other, but they wasted a lot of time earlier and, with the release date nearing, are now dropping promotional material back to back daily.
They feel this rushed schedule is the major reason most of the promotional material for Jailer 2 has gone unnoticed, claiming Sun Pictures has wasted their assets because of the poor planning.
Nevertheless, the full album of Jailer 2 is set to be released in a few hours with a grand rave party. It remains to be seen whether the remaining tracks will become viral hits and help Jailer 2 to gain solid pre-release hype in the following days.
