Of late, several Bollywood films have been opting for direct to OTT releases, with the latest being Deepika Padukone’s Gehraiyaan. Now, a star kid’s film is on course to become the new addition to the list.
Bollywood young diva Janhvi Kapoor‘s Good Luck Jerry is skipping theatrical release and going directly to OTT. The film’s direct to OTT rights were reportedly acquired by Disney+ Hotstar.
Good Luck Jerry is the Hindi remake of the Tamil film, Kolamavu Kokkila which has Nayanthara in the lead role. The film is in the final leg of production and it is up for direct to OTT release now. Disney+ Hotstar is likely to announce the OTT premieres date soon.
The Janhvi Kapoor starrer is directed by Sidharth Sengupta. Janhvi essays Nayanthara’s character from the original. Deepak Dobriyal, Mita Vashisht, Neeraj Sood, and Sushant Singh play other important roles.
