Nizam Buyers Falling In Tamil Director Trap

Jawan Nizam BuyersShah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan turned out to be a huge blockbuster in India as well as overseas. The film also did very well in the Telugu states and collected around 25 crore share in Nizam/Andhra territory. Now SRK is coming back with Jawan, directed by Atlee.

Jawan’s Nizam (AP/TS/Maratwada) rights have been bought by Pen Films at exorbitant prices. The film needs to collect 55-60 crores gross collection to achieve break-even, which is a big ask for a film that is looking like dubbed film.

There is a sense of overwhelming excitement in the trade right now after Jailer fetched enormous profits in the Telugu states. So the buyers are in a frenzy to get the rights to films that have some hype attached to them, and Jawan, right now, has a tremendous buzz.

Yes, Shah Rukh Khan is a big name in the Telugu states, and this time, the name of Atlee is also associated with the film, which is very familiar to the Telugu audience. Even though Atlee hasn’t made any memorable film since Theri, buyers have fallen into the trap of buying Jawan at high rates because of the combo of SRK and Atlee.

The film will need to carry great word-of-mouth to sustain itself at the box office and emerge a winner.
