Jr. NTR is currently busy with the massive action film Dragon, directed by Prashanth Neel, a project that has already generated huge buzz across the country. But even before that film hits theatres, attention has shifted to another highly anticipated project in his lineup: a big-budget collaboration with Trivikram Srinivas, tentatively titled God of War.
The film was announced quite some time ago, and fans have been eagerly waiting for updates on when it will finally go on floors. While production may still take some time to begin, strong industry buzz suggests the makers are planning a special surprise for NTR’s birthday on May 20.
According to reports, Trivikram is currently overseeing a concept announcement video focused on NTR’s character in the film. The team is said to be investing heavily in the visuals to match the project’s scale. If the VFX work is completed as planned, the announcement video could be released on NTR’s birthday, likely creating major excitement online.
The project is reportedly a mythological action drama inspired by Lord Kartikeya, also known as Subrahmanya Swamy, the commander of the celestial army in Hindu mythology. The makers are said to be designing it as a large-scale pan-India film packed with visual effects and high-end action sequences. Because of the mythological setting, the teaser itself reportedly requires extensive VFX work. This is believed to be one reason for the delay.
Fans are already expecting multiple updates on NTR’s birthday, especially since content from his film with Prashanth Neel is also expected around the same time. If both projects release updates together, social media could see a massive fan frenzy.
Producer Naga Vamsi is expected to back the project under Sithara Entertainments in association with Haarika & Hassine Creations. Reports suggest the film could be the biggest-budget project in NTR’s career and one of the most ambitious mythological action films made in Telugu cinema.
For now, the team is fully focused on perfecting the announcement video. If everything goes according to plan, fans may finally get their first official glimpse into the world of God of War on May 20.
