Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam, known for his works like Pelli Choopulu and Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi (2018), took a significant gap before returning with a fresh and quirky project.
His latest release, “Keeda Cola,” surprised everyone by collecting $200,365 on its premiere day, which is an impressive figure for a small film with relatively lesser-known faces.
Friday’s performance also appears very promising, and based on this trend, “Keeda Cola” is on track to cross the half-million mark in the U.S.
Undoubtedly, the credit for all of this should go to one man: director and actor Tharun Bhascker. His brand and credibility with the audience remain intact despite the long hiatus.
His discussions about cinema and his off-screen persona have kept him in the memories of the audience, evident in the U.S. reception.
How it will fare in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will become clear by Monday.
