Krithi Shetty made a dream debut in Uppena as Bebemma, quickly becoming the heartthrob of millions. Her innocent face and strong acting skills won over the Telugu audience, leading many to believe she was Tollywood’s next big heroine.

Her follow-up roles in Shyam Singha Roy and Bangarraju were decent but then came a series of disappointing films like The Warriorr, Macherla Niyojakavargam, and Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali.

Her latest film, Manamey, unfortunately, falls into the same category. Irrespective of the film’s fate at the box office, it cannot be denied that the film failed to give any momentum to Krithi’s career.

Despite her efforts, the poorly written roles made it hard for her to shine. Manamaey was seen as a chance for her to bounce back, but it failed to make an impact. Though she looked good, her character and performance left no lasting impression.

Currently, Krithi has no Telugu films lined up. She has shifted to the Malayalam and Tamil industries, with upcoming projects alongside Tovino Thomas and Jayam Ravi.

Let’s hope Krithi gets better roles in Tamil and Malayalam cinema and returns to the Telugu industry with a strong, impactful film.
