Director Shiva Nirvana is known for crafting clean films, regardless of their box office outcomes.
With four films under his belt, the director’s journey has been a mixed one. He’s gained recognition but hasn’t consistently delivered.
Surprisingly, contradicting his reputation for clean filmmaking, he penned a scene in which the hero has to masturbate, followed by a dialogue heroine Samantha inquiring about who the hero had imagined.
Interestingly, this scene is included only in the US prints, and Indian prints luckily do not feature this dialogue.
Had this scene been included in Indian prints, it would likely have ignited a significant social media debate on the day first day itself.
Now the question arises: When “Kushi” is released on OTT, will they retain this dialogue and scene?
If they decide to keep it, it could become fodder for trolling, as films like “Kushi” tend to get extreme reactions when they hit the OTT platform.
