But still, the fans kept rudely trolling him and he finally deactivated his account and left Twitter/X.
It was one of the first times a lyricist was facing criticism for a song’s quality. Trolls and memes targeting Sastry, along with the usual criticism of Thaman, have been circulating on social media. Sastry took these social media comments seriously and expressed his strong reaction.
Typically, if fans dislike a song, they direct their frustration toward the music director, but this time they also criticized the lyricist. The unexpected and harsh comments have clearly upset Sastry, and the fans went too far with their continuous negative remarks about the technicians involved.
