As is known, in the case of RRR, the title resonated with the names of the main men Rajamouli, Ram Charan and Rama Rao. This was only the tentative title at first but once it caught up, the makers stuck to it and it eventually helped the marketing aspect of the film.
Now, the latest social media buzz on Rajamouli’s next with Mahesh is titled “Maharaj”. The social media narrative is that Rajamouli is considering the Maharaj title it is an amalgamation of “Mah” from Mahesh and “Raj” from Rajamouli. This is a convenient backing that is being given for this Maharaj title.
In that case, Rajamouli should be continuing RRR way of titling for Mahesh’s film as well.
But Rajamouli, being the kind of craftsman that he is, will certainly not look to repeat a formula again just because it was a success the first time. He has this thirst for newness all the time. So expecting him to follow RRR way of titling for Mahesh’s film is not a clever idea.
Moreover, it is too early to speculate on the title of the film as the pre production is still going on. Will Rajamouli hold a mega opening event for Mahesh’s film like how he did for RRR and announce at least a tentative title? We shall wait and see. For now, the Maharaj title is catching up on social media albeit with no credible backing.
