Srinivasa Mangapuram, which marks the acting debut of Jaya Krishna Gattamaneni, grandson of Superstar Krishna, will be arriving in theatres in 5 more days on July 30. Directed by Ajay Bhupathi, produced by Gemini Kiran and presented by Ashwini Dutt, the film is carrying strong buzz, with stupendous response to the teaser, trailer and songs.
Jaya Krishna says his ambition to become an actor started during his teenage years. He spent several years training in acting across Mumbai, Puducherry, and New York before beginning his search for the right debut project. Once he signed Srinivasa Mangapuram, director Ajay Bhupathi conducted months of workshops to prepare him thoroughly.
The young actor stated that his uncle Mahesh Babu lent full support. “Mahesh Babai watched Srinivasa Mangapuram and absolutely loved it. He especially appreciated the action sequences and songs and said I had completely transformed into the character. I consider myself fortunate to be introduced through Vyjayanthi Movies.”
Describing the movie, he said it is rooted in realism, with emotionally driven storytelling, intriguing twists, and relatable characters. He believes the love story feels different from conventional romantic dramas.
He called Rasha Thadani an important strength of the film and expressed confidence that Telugu audiences would appreciate her work. His character Sreenu, he explained, is cheerful, determined, and deeply in love, making the narrative engaging from start to finish.
On comparisons with Mahesh Babu, Jaya Krishna said a few shots in the teaser may remind viewers of his uncle, but once the film starts, audiences will only connect with Sreenu’s journey.
