Recent reports have suggested that Priyanka Chopra has been cast alongside Mahesh Babu in SS Rajamouli’s upcoming untitled jungle adventure, which is set to begin filming early next year. However, a prominent website has posted an article debunking these claims.
An insider shared with the website, “We don’t know where this came from. Rajamouli hasn’t even met Priyanka Chopra for this project.
The reports suggest that Rajamouli has met her multiple times to discuss the film. Could we get more details about these supposed meetings?”
The source further clarified the casting situation, stating, “Apart from Mahesh Babu, no other actor has been confirmed for the project.
Rajamouli and his father, writer Vijayendra Prasad, are focused on finalizing the script first. Only after that will the rest of the cast be decided. And no, Priyanka Chopra is not even a possibility.”
While one Bollywood insider claimed that Priyanka is indeed part of Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli’s film, another denied it, sparking a media clash over the most-awaited project. It remains to be seen whose report will be proven true.
Amid rumors surrounding high-profile projects like Tiger Vs Pathaan and Rajamouli’s next film with Mahesh Babu, one has yet to materialize, and the other is still far from production.
There were even rumors that Mahesh Babu would portray a character based on Hanuman in the Rajamouli film, but when writer Vijayendra Prasad was contacted, he denied any mythological connection.
To clear the air: as of now, only Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli are confirmed for the film.
Any additional cast or crew details being circulated are pure speculation.
Mahesh Babu is set to play a contemporary character in a fast-paced jungle adventure.
