Mahesh Babu’s fans are excited about the release of Guntur Kaaram which is hitting the big screens on the 12th of this month. Well, they need to let this absorb this hype and energy as much as they can as it will be the last time Mahesh has a theatrical release possibly in the next three years if not more.
Mahesh will join hands with Rajamouli next for a big-budget actioner, which, considering Rajamouli’s vision and work rate will take not less than three years to release. While fans might be worried about the extended absence, Rajamouli is sure to deliver a winning product in the end which will be a hallmark in Mahesh’s career.
And in a way, Mahesh’s fans are luckier than NTR’s fans. NTR’s film before RRR was Aravinda Sametha and it was a serious one. It wasn’t a rounded entertainer for fans to enjoy and rather an earnest action drama. But Mahesh on the other hand, gets to sign off before Rajamouli’s film with Guntur Kaaram which appears to be full-blown Sankranthi entertainer.
Guntur Kaaram appears to be a more enjoyable and celebratory film for Mahesh’s fans, which wasn’t the case with Aravinda Sametha, which was an appreciated film but not necessarily a celebratory one.
And another thing for NTR’s fans was that even after RRR’s release, there were these clashes with mega fans about the prominence of the two heroes. This was a pretty ugly passage. So despite the box office chronicles of RRR, NTR’s fans couldn’t fully absorb all of it.
But with Mahesh’s film, there is no post-release tension as it is a solo hero film and moreover, Rajamouli will also amp up his game given the global fame RRR got and the increased stakes on him. So, Mahesh’s fans can consider themselves luckier than NTR’s fans on multiple counts.
