1. Pawan Kalyan
Pawan Kalyan has hogged limelight this month with the release of his ‘Bro’. The movie has once again triggered the merits of doing remakes and about Pawan Kalyan doing too many of them. The disappointing box office result of the movie even flared up the discussion.
2. Prabhas
Prabhas has a bitter-sweet month in July. The first look of his Project K released and got instant negative response bringing a Dejavu feeling of Adipurush. But then, the correction came in just two days as the teaser restored the faith in the film and made Project K (now Karna), the most-awaited film.
3. Baby
A small film, Baby created a sensation at the box office becoming a humungous blockbuster. The intentions of the director and the reactions of youth towards the film created a social media splash like no other small film in many years. At the end, it was a memorable outing for the lead cast – Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya and the director Sai Rajesh.
4. Trivikram
Bro box office result spiralled into a headache for Trivikram as a vast section of Pawan Kalyan fans blamed the director for influencing their favorite star to doing too many remakes. And then, there is the ambuigity over Gunturkaram that added to the woes of Trivikram.
5. TG Vishwa Prasad
TG Vishwa Prasad, the producer of People Media Factory shred his media-cautiousness and was batting single-handed the ‘Shyam Babu’ controversy that sprung out of Pawan Kalyan’s Bro. The way how he handled certain media houses that tried to corner the film and Pawan Kalyan to please the ruling party won applause.
6. Dil Raju
Dil Raju’s time it is now in Tollywood. All that he touches is becoming Gold. After conquering Producers Council in February, he also won the film chamber now. He has become the President of the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce taking the control of both the important official bodies of TFI.
7. Chiranjeevi
Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Bholaa Shankar trailer released this month and opened to mixed response. However, a section of fans liked the way Meher Ramesh portrayed Chiranjeevi.
8. Nara Rohit
Nara Rohit surprised everyone by announcing his comeback film, Prathinidhi 2 and that too in the directional debut of TV5 Murthy.
9. Rashmika
Rashmika hit headlines this month after she opted out of Nithin – Venky Kudumula’s film. The movie was supposed to be the comeback of Bheeshma combination. There are rumors that the differences she had with her ex-manager led to a fallout with Venky Kudumula leading to her walking out of the film.
10. Satya (Rangabali)
Naga Shaurya registered one more failure with Rangabali. A promotional interview starring Satya making a spoof of some interviewers became viral and a talking point. The makers also suffered a lot of confusion and had to trim the interview heavily so as to avoid controversies.
