Will MM Keeravani Shut Down Critics? Big Golden Chance

MM Keeravani criticism

In Telugu cinema, MM Keeravani is a brand, not just a music director. For over three decades, he has delivered many melodious super hit albums and powerful background scores that stay with audiences for years. Whenever a film is directed by SS Rajamouli, people automatically expect Keeravani to handle the music. Their combination has created some of the biggest musical moments in Telugu cinema in the last two decades. With RRR, he even reached global recognition when the song Naatu Naatu won the Oscar Academy Award. That moment brought worldwide attention to Telugu film music.

But even successful artists face backlash. In recent years, a common complaint has been that Keeravani gives his very best only for Rajamouli’s films, while his work for other directors does not feel as impactful. Earlier, audiences waited eagerly for any album composed by him. Now, the excitement seems to peak mainly when he collaborates with Rajamouli.

For example, some felt that his music for Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu did not fully meet expectations. The film was bad, and Keeravani’s score would not have salvaged it. Still, he did not even deliver the bare minimum output. Similarly, the songs released so far from Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara have also failed to create any real impact.

Because of this perception, many believe Keeravani is partial towards Rajamouli. Now, he seems to have an opportunity to answer that criticism. He is currently working on Rajamouli’s ambitious film Varanasi. At the same time, there is talk that he may compose music for Jai Hanuman, directed by Prasanth Varma. Though there is no official confirmation yet, the news has already created discussion in industry circles.

The earlier film HanuMan showed how important background music is for a mythological story. Expectations for Jai Hanuman are even higher. This could be an important moment for Keeravani. Throughout his career, he has handled emotion, devotion, and heroism with great strength. If he delivers a powerful score here, it could silence the trolling and remind audiences why he remains one of Telugu cinema’s finest composers.
