Not many know Malayalam senior actor Jayaram. But yesteryear moviegoers who are Kamal Haasan fans can be reminded that Jayaram starred in Kamal’s super hit movie ‘Panchatantram’ in a prominent role as one of his friends who travel throughout the film alongside Kamal Haasan.

Jayaram is going to make Telugu debut in a direct film ‘Bhagmati’ starring Anushka Shetty and Aadi Pinishetty in the lead. The actor didn’t do any direct Telugu film because he doesn’t know Telugu. But for ‘Bhagmati’, the actor tried mouthing his dialogues in Telugu without any prompting like in Malayalam movies.
Jayaram is playing the role of a central minister in the Telugu film. Director G. Ashok is directing the film. Tabu also is said to be playing another prominent film. Going by the title, we may think that ‘Bhagmati’ is a period drama, but it is a thriller.
