Ravi Basrur gained massive acclaim for his music in Prashanth Neel’s KGF. The songs and BGM from the film became iconic, and his demand skyrocketed on a pan-India level.
However, after KGF, he has not been able to replicate the magic of KGF again. He has given music to films like Kabzaa, Bholaa, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Bhimaa, and many more.
Not even one song or composition from these films was memorable. Even in Salaar, his score was average at the best.
And now he has delivered two disasters within a span of just 20 days.
Dhruva Sarja’s Martin turned out to be one of the biggest flops. Not only was the film a disaster, but Ravi Basrur’s score was atrocious. The loud music and BGM had audiences cringing, with some even complaining about ear pain in theaters.
Ravi Basrur gave another disastrous BGM for Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. The film is doing moderately well but the music by Ravi has been panned by everyone.
Ajay Devgn’s Singham character is a fan favorite but the BGM for his scenes sounded so bad that fans are avenging for Ravi Basrur’s blood.
Let’s hope Ravi Basrur redeems himself with Prashanth Neel and NTR’s film Dragon.
