For a while now, there have been complaints about Prabhas’s choice of directors. Right from Sujeeth to Radha Krishna to Om Raut, Prabhas was always under the pump for picking the wrong slate of directors. To an extent, Prashanth Neel quenched the third by delivering a winning product in Salaar.
But the real deal is about to start for Prabhas as he is set to work with Sandeep Reddy Vanga for his next and the latter has thrown a feeler of what is to come.
Vanga meticulously explained the dynamic of the film with Prabhas as he sat down for an interview. “The stakes are higher, as Spirit is the biggest budget film in my career. The budget is over 300 crore so I will have to be more cautious. I love certain facets of Prabhas as an actor like the way he reacts to an adverse situation when something bad happens. I am using this side of his acting prowess.” Vanga said.
Vanga added “Prabhas comes with the persona that has commercial perks. His demeanor shots. The way he turns and looks at the camera are all commercial high points. I will try to incorporate them in Spirit in a fresh and unique manner”.
Vanga’s understanding of Prabhas’s dynamic and the budgeting aspects is exactly what was lacking in the case of his recent films barring Salaar. Prabhas is anyway an X-factor star, and if this prospect pairs with another X-factor entity like Vanga, the results can be promising and that is exactly what Spirit promises to be.
